Statement of Purpose
Pledge
I, a sister of Alpha Gamma Phi do pledge to uphold her principles.
I promise to care for my body and mind for fellowship and loyalty to strive.
I am to love my fellow woman as I do each sorority sister.
Through love I will serve; my help from God, who gives me the strength
to succeed.
I promise to thee, Alpha Phi, through thee may my life be enriched, that
this, my pledge may be fulfilled.
Prayer
Our Heavenly Father,
We thank Thee for Thy great love for us.
May it so fill our lives that through love we may form deep and lasting
friendships.
Refresh our bodies an alert our minds, we pray, that through willing service
we may attain our goals.
All this we ask in faith and the assurance that we can do all things through
Him who strengthens us.
Creed
We believe that friendship is the anchor of our strength.
We believe that through this strength we can use our bodies and minds
to uphold the principles for which we stand.
We believe that through fellowship, one with another, we can attain our
purposes, the motivating force of our lives as a sorority.
We believe that our lives can manifest service and love to all as we place
our faith in God.
Thus, we look to Alpha Gamma Phi, our sorority, as an anchoring root for
which we are strengthened for a richer and fuller life.
Pack Light
The journey of life is about choices and routes.
I am glad I chose the route of Alpha Phi. I have learned through
Alpha Phi I can pack light and be myself: facades and masks have
no room in Alpha Phi because my road is long and the journey tiring.
With the help of my sisters I have cast aside my shortcomings and
packed my bags with unconditional acceptance and love.
All we need is one another to make it through the various bumps
and bruises along the way. Alpha Phi is a road of its own and if
you are searching for a great adventure, pack your bags...because
Alpha Phi will take you there.
