Student Activities Committee
SAC is a body of students whose primary function is to plan, organize, and oversee the student activities for the student body of Hope College. SAC is one of the cornerstone student groups on campus and is one of the strongest student activities groups in the country.
The Hope College Student Activities Committee (SAC) is dedicated to providing high quality entertainment that is accessible and appealing to a wide variety of student audiences.
SAC is comprised of student leaders who are responsible for coordinating and executing campus-wide social programming that enriches the campus community and reflects the mission and values of the institution. Students who participate in SAC have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, work collaboratively and creatively with other student groups and campus departments, and build constructive relationships with fellow student leaders.
Members of the student body are invited to participate in a diverse array of SAC events such as weekly coffeehouse open-mic nights; semi-annual trips to regional points of interest, athletic events and theater productions; films, concerts, comedy shows, slam poetry and other performances; traditional events such as Homecoming and Winter Fantasia; and outdoor events including the Drive-In Movie and Spring Fling.
