About UsCurrently beginning its 37th year, the Hope College Model United Nations (HCMUN) program is based on the structure of the United Nations of New York City. HCMUN is organized and run by Hope College students who annually produce the largest conference of its kind in the state of Michigan. High school students from Michigan and neighboring states arrive on campus each spring becoming “UN delegates” who simulate UN proceedings while dealing with various issues and crises of international significance. As in the past, HCMUN will offer the following forms of UN organs for simulation: General Assembly (GA), Security Council, Economic Social Council (ECOSOC), and an International Criminal Court(ICC). Students participating in the Security Councils, ECOSOC or ICC will begin simulations on Thursday (continuing through Friday), while all GA students will start on Friday. Those students needing accommodations for Thursday will be housed in campus residence halls at no cost. Conference fees are kept to a minimum. Charges will only be made to cover expenses for the information packets sent to all participating schools and for the Security Council/ECOSOC/ICC Advisor Banquet. Meet this year's secretariat:
