What is ACT?

Athletes Coming Together is a committee made up of student-athletes nominated by their coaches to represent their team. ACT represents Hope as part of a larger group called Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) that is both on the MIAA and NCAA levels.

What is the purpose of ACT/SAAC?

The mission ACT and SAAC is:

To serve student athletes as a liaison between the student-athletes and the Hope College Athletic Department Administration regarding the needs and concerns that impact their academic performance, athletic performance, and personal well-being.

To promote unity, camaraderie, communication and common purpose among all Hope College student-athletes.

To actively encourage a strong commitment to service, and uphold positive athletic, academic and social experience for all student-athletes.

To represent, endorse, and support athletics at institutional, conference, and national levels including the review of policies and proposed legislation at these various tiers.
