The Flying Dutch were as hot as the unseasonal weather Tuesday in posting a 7-0 MIAA victory over visiting Tri-State. With the temperature in the mid-80s, the Flying Dutch totally dominated the undermanned Thunder team behind a 34-3 advantage in shots on goal. With only 11 squad members, Tri-State was unable to substitute the entire game. Hope, meanwhile, was able to give ample playing time to its entire bench.

The victory was Hope's seventh by shutout this season and the sixth in eight conference games. Coach Leigh Sears Dutch stand 9-2 overall and 7-1 in the MIAA midway through the league season.

Scoring two goals apiece were sophomore Ellie Tresslar and senior Linnae Klompmaker while booting one each were junior Erin Dargis, freshman Cassie Thomas and sophomore Julia Fischer. Thomas and Fischer each had an assist as did freshman Sarah Sosolik and sophomore Lindsey Cole.
