Phelps Hall

Located at 150 E. 10th Street, Phelps hall is named after Rev. Philip Phelps, Jr., Hope College's first President. It was built in 1960 as a woman's dormitory. Phelps was enlarged and remodeled in 1980.

Phelps Hall is a co-ed hall, second floor is male and third floor is female, with 80 rooms and can house 160 freshman and sophomore students. The floors are tiled but residents can put down carpeting or rugs. The beds are "stackable" style beds that can be bunked or “lofted”. (All parts needed are furnished). The rooms come with two desks with chairs and two dressers. Each room has blinds on the windows and there is Internet connection available in the students' rooms. A cafeteria, computer lab, laundry room, and lounges are also found in Phelps.
