Housing Update:
All students whose Housing Cards were received in our office by June 6, 2008, have been processed. The first roommate assignments will be mailed the week of July 7, 2008. All students whose Housing Cards were received after June 6, 2008 can expect their roommate assignment by the first week of August 2008.

Room Assignment Process:
All roommate matches are made by hand, not computer-generated, especially for you according to your answers on the back of the card.

In order to get the housing and roommate assignments out to you as quickly as possible, please have your card in by June 6, 2008.

Below are some frequently asked questions that our office receives:

• Can I give you a preference as to where I want to live?
Yes, we try to accommodate housing preferences to the best of our ability. We believe strongly that every residence hall is a good environment – and like anything, the energy and attitude you bring will make it exceptional.

• Can I request to live with a friend?
Yes, we make every effort to work with friends who want to be roommates, but please note:
We take only mutual requests and both housing cards must be received before we house you together. Both cards need to be received by the Housing Office no later than June 6, 2008for roommate preferences to be considered.

• What if I need an accommodation in my housing?
In order to place you in housing that will accommodate any special needs, please identify these needs on the back of the housing card. We must receive your housing card no later than June 6, 2008 to ensure that we can try to accommodate your request. You will have to attach proper documentation from a licensed professional as to what living situation might best accommodate your needs and mail this back with your housing card.

• When will I receive my housing assignment and roommate’s name?
Our goal is to send out the first round of assignments by the week of July 7 and after that on a weekly basis. If you have not received your housing assignment by Friday, August 1, please call or email the Housing Office. This will give you ample time to contact your roommate in order for you to get to know each other before you arrive at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2008 for Orientation.
