A Tribute to Our Student Assistants

At the end of each academic year, when our student assistants graduate or move on to new opportunities, we feel a great sense of loss. We then go through the interviewing and hiring process all over again and are simply astounded by the new, wonderfully talented students assistants we have been able to find! We have been very fortunate and enriched by them.

Essy Sakala, who worked for us for three years, graduated in January and is now working in Grand Rapids. She is originally from Zambia. Vicky Dryfhout and Michelle Lubbers both graduated in May. Vicky worked for us during the summer of 2000. She was married in May and is now attending graduate school. Michelle worked for us for two years and is now looking for a position in education or business. Ramona Fruja and Christina Van Regenmorter are our current student assistants. This is Ramona's second year working for us. She traveled to Romania in May to spend the summer there at home with her parents. Christina began working for us this past summer. It has been a joy to work with each one of these students, getting to know them and watching them grow and mature.
