Anthony Doerr is the prize-winning author of three books,
The Shell Collector, About Grace, and recent memoir Four
Seasons in Rome: On Twins, Insomnia, and the Biggest Funeral
in the History of the World, which The Boston Globe calls “A
beautiful paean to Rome, a passionately rendered love letter
that will appeal to anyone interested in the Eternal City." In
2007, the British literary magazine Granta named Doerr
as one of 21 Best Young American Novelists. Anthony Doerr
lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife and twin sons. He
teaches in the low-residency MFA program at Warren Wilson
College.
