Chris Dombrowski is the author of the poetry collection
By Cold Water (Wayne State University Press), a finalist
for ForeWord Magazine's Poetry Book of the Year, and the
chapbook Fragments with Dusk in Them (Punctilious Press).
Forthcoming publications include a chapbook, September
Miniatures with Blood and Mars (Checker Press, 2012) and
a collection, Fire's Bride (WSUP, 2013). His poems have
appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies,
including Crazyhorse, Denver Quarterly, New
Letters, Poetry,
and Poetry Daily. His awards include the Associated Writing
Programs' Intro Award, Alligator Juniper's National Poetry
Prize, and a writing fellowship from the UCross Foundation.
Additionally, in venues such as Outside, Gray's
Sporting Journal, Orion, and The Sun, he has published essays and
articles that chronicle his fifteen summers as a river-guide
in Montana. Born in Michigan and educated at Hope College
and the University of Montana, Dombrowski currently teaches
creative writing at Interlochen Center for the Arts. With
his family, he divides his time between Michigan and Montana.
