De Pree Art Center Hosts Borgeson Artist-in-Residence on June 25

The Borgeson Artist in Residence program is an eight-week summer artist residency which supports the creation of a new body of work, culminating in a month-long exhibition in Hope College’s De Pree Gallery. The 2026 program welcomes Brooklyn, New York-based Maggie K. Barrett as this summer’s artist in residence. On Thursday, June 25 from 4:30-6 p.m., the public is invited to a free open studio event, to meet Barrett and get a behind-the-scenes look at her process.

Knickerbocker Theatre Hosts Four Katharine Hepburn Films Beginning May 11

The Hope College Knickerbocker Theatre will present legendary actress Katharine Hepburn as part of its Classic Film Series. Highlighting some of her most iconic performances from the late 1930s through the 1940s, the series will feature one film each week on Monday evenings at 7 p.m., from May 11 through June 1.

Two Free, Live Dance Events Held at Pillar Church on May 2

In collaboration with Pillar Church, Lindsey Hanson – Hope College alumna and associate professor of dance — and The Creative Arts Collective present a live dance event titled “Benediction,” on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Pillar Church downtown Holland. This is a free performance open to all ages, but registration is preferred by clicking this link.
