RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Current research involves self-employment, and how affirmative action programs affect decisions by firms owned by minorities or women.

Another line of research involves theology and market systems.  Many theologians object to markets as an organizing principle for the economy.  I am examining the reasons and trying to respond to the arguments as an economist.

A third area is the economics of globalization, from an international trade, industrial organization, and economic history perspective.
