Degree Program

The Asian studies minor is an interdisciplinary program composed of credits from several different departments.

Japanese students near Martha Miller Students are able to design their own program of study by choosing courses from requirements in three areas:

Culture and thought (eight credits)
History (four credits)
Contemporary politics and society (four credits)

The remaining four credits may be chosen from any approved Asian studies course or a course in an Asian language. We recommend that students choose courses in such a way that they are exposed to more than one Asian country.
