Complete the CliftonStrengths Assessment

GENERAL INFORMATION
The CliftonStrengths Assessment offers insight into your top five personal strengths. Hope College uses CliftonStrengths in a variety of ways throughout campus, including Orientation and First-Year Seminars. Understanding your strengths can add significant insight into your personal and career development and can positively impact your academic success while at Hope College.

The Boerigter Center for Calling and Career asks that all incoming first-year students complete this assessment by August 1.

COMPLETING THE ASSESSMENT
This assessment will take 30–45 minutes to complete. There are no wrong answers and you are encouraged to 'go with your gut' in terms of how you respond. Each question has a 20-second timer intended to measure your first inclination. If you have any type of learning disability and need additional time, please use the Gallup Help Center support chat to have the timer turned off.

1. Go to my.gallup.com
2. Click ‘login with your organization’s single sign-on.’
3. Enter ‘Hope’ for organization or institution name
4. You will see your Gmail accounts if you have multiple accounts. If you have only your Hope account, you will just see that one. Click your Hope email account.
5. Create a password to continue to log in. 
6. You will answer security questions.
7. You may then click the ‘begin button’ and take the assessment
8. After the assessment is complete, no further action is required before your arrival to campus.
9. Your results will load immediately after you complete the assessment. You can view them on the platform, and you will receive them in your Hope email.

If you have already taken CliftonStrengths prior to coming to Hope College, please contact the Boerigter Center for Calling and Career at careers@hope.edu for instructions on integrating your results with Hope's system.

View Your CliftonStrengths Results

To view your CliftonStrength assessment results, follow the steps below.

1. Go to my.gallup.com
2. Click ‘login with your organization’s single sign-on’
3. Enter ‘Hope’ for organization or institution name
4. You will see your Gmail accounts if you have multiple accounts. If you have only your Hope account, you will just see that one. 
5. Click your Hope email account
6. Enter your password or reset your password using your Hope email address.

PathwayU

PathwayU is an assessment that uses values, interests, personality and workplace preferences to determine career paths with which you have a strong match. It then points you toward majors at Hope College that will help prepare you for that type of work. Your results are immediate and it may be helpful for you to make an appointment with BCCC staff to help process and understand the information.

To take the PathwayU assessment, click the assessment link and log in with your Hope email. The four short assessments each take about five minutes to complete.

If you have already taken one or more assessments we recommend making an appointment with a staff member through Handshake. This will help you make the most of the information as you apply it to major and career discernment, vocation and calling.
