Independent StudyClick here for the Independent Study application The Independent Study allows students to earn up to four credits pursuing a topic of his or her choice tailored to fit the focus of the major. An English major may choose to do an individual research project, overseen by a faculty advisorr, investigating som topic in depth and culminating in a paper that demonstrates literary scholarship and independent thought. An English major focusing on creative writing may choose to do a student-designed
writing project culminating in a significant and complete body of
creative or expository writing. |
