Katherine Sullivan received her BFA from the University of Michigan in 1997. In 2001 she received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Boston University, where she was the recipient of the 2000 Richard Ryan Sr. Memorial Award and the 2001 Graduate Teaching Award. Additional programs of study include Chautauqua Institute, the New York Studio School, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her most recent fellowships include Cooper Union, the Virgina Center for Creative Arts and Ragdale. Katherine joined the Hope faculty in September 2003, as Assistant Professor of Painting. She has recently had solo exhibitions of her work at Ithaca College's Handwerker Gallery in Ithaca, New York and the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. She spends her summers painting in Newfoundland, Canada.
