Weather permitting, the Commencement ceremony will be held at the Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.
Commencement activities outdoors, live video broadcast available
The weather forecast for Sunday’s Commencement Ceremony calls for beautiful blue skies, but continued chilly wind. In order to accommodate as many guests as possible for this special occasion, we plan to hold the ceremony outside at the Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.
Please dress warmly! Guests should add extra layers and bring blankets. Don’t forget the sunscreen, too.
Line up at the Stadium begins at 2:30 p.m. Graduation candidates should arrive in their cap and gown with their name cards.
A live video broadcast of the ceremony will be available in the Jack H. Miller Center Concert Hall for guests who may be more comfortable indoors. Doors open there at 2 p.m.
Graduation candidates wear caps and gowns and sit together as a class. Arrive in cap and gown with your name card no later than 2:30 p.m. to line up.
The Ceremony lasts approximately two hours. No tickets are needed for this venue, and the commencement will be live streamed.
IN CASE OF RAIN
We monitor weather forecasts through Sunday morning, when a final decision will be made about the location of Commencement. Last-minute weather and location information will be available online or by calling 616-395-7000.
