Fund Gifts in Action
Gifts
to the Hope Fund directly support a variety of programs, services,
and activities across campus.
Services
- A
safe and well-maintained campus including shuttle bus,
emergency phones, lighting along walkways, snow removal,
and lawn service.
- Technology
updates for residence halls, library, and classrooms
- Health
& Counseling
services available for students and faculty.
- Disability
Services including readers, note takers, personal
care attendants, advocacy for campus accessibility,
physical therapy, academic support, counseling, and
support groups.
- The
Carl Frost Center for Social Research, which offers
hands-on research for undergraduate students in the
Sociology and Social Work majors and other disciplines.

Activities
- Student
activities such as: Hope's campus newspaper, the
Anchor, Academic Clubs, Honor Societies, Intramural
Sports, Student Congress, Women's Issues Organization,
Nykerk, the Pull, Chapel Choir, Symphonette tours, and
Spring and Summer Break Mission Trips.
- Residence
Hall activities that develop community spirit and an
appreciation for diversity.
- Dance
Marathon - a student-run philanthropy event that
raises money for DeVos Children’s Hospital through
the Children’s Miracle Network.
- Great
Performance Series - a variety of dymanic performers
brought to Hope's campus.

Speakers
- Visiting
Writer Series has brought a variety of well known
authors to campus including Gwendolyn Brooks, Lucile
Clifton, Conrad Hilberry, Yusef Komunyakaa, Joyce Carol
Oates, Chaim Potok, and William Stafford.
- Multicultural
events such as: speakers, informal dialogues, Dr.
Martin Luther King Commemorative Service, Black and
Latino Film Series, Gospel Fest, Black History Month,
and Women of Color Celebration.
